This is confirmed by the Company's continuous investments in research and development.
ILPEA's laboratories are equipped with the most modern instruments for analysis (DSC, TGA,
FTIR, MFI, VICAT, HDT, atomic adsorption and others) and are, consequently, in a position to carry
out all the necessary research and to optimise those solutions which permit ongoing development.

ILPEA's main objectives are, among others, diversification of its activities, creation of innovative
products, quality improvement, reduction of the impact on the environment and complete recycling
of all products.

Continuous research has resulted in the creation of innovative materials, processes and products:

• co-extrusion of rigid and soft materials, reinforced with metal inserts;
• the creation of plastic profiles with magnetic inserts;
• the use of anti-ageing materials which do not require surface paint;
• the use of foamed materials which result in significant weight reduction;
• the development of PVC-free and halogen free materials.

ILPEA has obtained more than 40 patents worldwide and owns more than 10 international trademarks.
