INDUSTRIE
ILPEA,
A GROUP IN CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT
INDUSTRIE ILPEA, founded in 1960, is a world leader in designing
and manufacturing plastic,
magnetic and rubber components.
ILPEA' s headquarters are located in Malgesso-Varese (Italy). Here
ILPEA's global strategy is
developed both for its European and overseas plants. A number of
significant events have
contributed to ILPEA's success:
the merger with the American Group Pantasote Inc. in 1970;
the management buy out of the companies of Pantasote located
in Western Europe by the existing
management along with several international banks in 1989;
the setting up of new production plants or the acquisition of
existing companies in Hungary, India,
USA, Brazil, Spain and Sweden in the proximity of customers, according
to the principles of
"global market" and "customer service" which
have been successfully applied by ILPEA.
the acquisition in 2001 of HOLM INDUSTRIES INC. with plants
in U.S.A. and Mexico.
The group consist in three divisions:
PLASTIC MATERIALS
This Division is capable of manufacturing innovative componentry
which is designed in collaboration
with the customer (co-design), within various market sectors ranging
from household appliances
to car components and from window frames to shower units in the
building industry.
TECHNICAL PRODUCTS IN RUBBER
This Division has two large production plants in Italy and has moved
on from a specialisation
in household appliance components to a sophisticated product diversification.
It now also supplies
other production fields, such as the car industry, the bridge, tunnel
and railway construction industry,
and the window frame industry, as well as the building industry
in general.
MAGNETIC PRODUCTS
This Division was established in 1968, originally for the manufacture
of flexible magnetic profiles
for refrigerator gaskets, but shortly after it also started manufacturing
many other magnetic products
for various industrial uses. These products are manufactured by
extruding and calendering in-house
formulated and produced ferrite powder based compounds.
These three Divisions each have several plants and basically the
same industrial and market mission.
However, each Division has its own management, research and development
centers, as well as sales
structures which concentrate on their own product sector in order
to achieve and guarantee the required
level of specialization.
